 The answer is YES!  The whole reason I created this group is to build a positive and uplifting community of woman who can feel loved and find new friendships.   But there are some rules for hosting within this community so that I can make sure it maintains the beautiful and positive environment that it has been so far.  Events cannot be planned on days where there are Official Chasing Sunshine Events. Please see the 2026 Events List to see when all the events are. You must have attended at least ONE Official Chasing Sunshine Event before you host your own gathering. This is because I want you to see the vibe of the comminity before hosting so we can ensure all events match the positive vibe we are aiming for!   In order to continue to host your own gatherings within the Chasing Sunshine group you must be actively attending and involved with the Official Chasing Sunshine events. For every 2 events you host you must attend at least 1 Official event.   No ticketed events allowed. The only ticketed events allowed are the Official Chasing Sunshine Events. If you are planning a public outing where members need to purchase their own tickets (examples: mini golf, comedy show, movie theater) that is fine of course. However, you may not collect money from members to fund your party or to make a profit. An alternative idea is to have people bring food to share, help with decorations etc. When hosting an event, you may create an event in the event section of the Chasing Sunshine Facebook Group. You are however responsible for the event. Answering questions, getting RSVPs and making sure the guests have all the information they need. I am not responsible or in charge of these events.  Finally, if an event is hosted and it comes to my attention that the host or the event did not match the positive community that is being created here, we will respectfully ask that you no longer host events under the Chasing Sunshine Group.  Events and posts about events will not be approved unless you are following the guidelines of this post.   I hope this helped answer any questions about hosting your own event here! The answer is YES but there are requirements!  You must be an active member of Chasing Sunshine to make an advertisement post or post about your business. You must attend 1 Official Chasing Sunshine event per each promotional post you make. You may not sell anything directly on the Chasing Sunshine Page. You can only post advertising and then direct people to the correct platform to check out your website or page. Please do business there not here. You may not make more than one promotional post per month.  I am all about woman supporting woman and I totally encourage it!! However, we just need to keep in mind that the purpose of this community is not to self-promote but to meet new friends and make connections. If I find that you only joined this community to sell your products you will be deleted.   No join for joins or follow trains will be allowed. If you are genuinely connecting with someone then friend them!! But we are not here to grow our follow count! We are here to grow our circles of people we can do life with.

The answer is not black and white. Each event is different and has different parameters. This is primarily a Ladies Group, and we prioritize planning events for adult woman to connect and find friendships. However, the age range for each event varies. Some events are 18+, some events are 21+ and some events allow children to attend. There are also a few events in which spouses are welcome. Roars&Pours and our Annual Friendsgiving are both examples of that. For the best info please refer to the information given for each event. Details usually come out at least 1 month before the event date if not sooner.
